ON THE PLUS SIDE

XOD H-Series strengths

  • The H-Series provides dedicated caliper options rather than pretending one left/right description fits every scooter.
  • Selected kits include motor power-off sensor connections and model-specific adapter cables.
  • The system uses mineral oil, with separate pads, rotors, and rotor spacers available for maintenance.
  • XOD publishes fitment examples for several KuKirin models and warns where year or batch differences remain.
  • The H-Series is positioned around practical scooter upgrades rather than generic motorcycle hardware.
WATCH THE TRADE-OFFS

XOD H-Series trade-offs

  • H800 and H880 cannot be selected by left/right side alone; caliper direction and mount geometry decide fitment.
  • A matching mechanical mount does not prove the electrical brake sensor connector is compatible.
  • The six complete KuKirin kit descriptions do not establish compatibility for every model year or production batch.
  • Incorrect hose routing, caliper alignment, or bleeding can cause brake failure.
  • International returns on installed or modified brake hardware can be expensive and may not be accepted.

What the XOD H-Series changes

The H-Series is a family of hydraulic brake kits for electric scooters and selected e-bikes. The core benefit is a sealed hydraulic system with dedicated calipers and, on supported kits, a motor cut-off sensor connection.

That is a meaningful upgrade path. It is also safety-critical hardware, so fitment deserves more attention than the lever finish or a claimed stopping improvement.

H800 vs H880 is a mounting decision

XOD describes H800 and H880 as different caliper configurations for different mounting directions. Do not choose by left and right alone. The exact wheel, brake-disc side, fork or swingarm, rotor size, and caliper position all matter.

The official examples differ by model. G4 is listed as front H880 and rear H800; G2 Max is listed as front H800 and rear H880; the 2025 G2 Master reference is H880 at both wheels. Confirm the actual version before ordering.

Electrical compatibility needs its own check

A hydraulic caliper can fit mechanically while the brake-lever sensor connector remains wrong. XOD uses a 2-pin waterproof connector on supported configurations, but connector shape and wiring still need confirmation.

Photograph the original lever connector and send the model year, front and rear brake side, caliper mount, and hose route to XOD support when anything is unclear.

Installation and brake fluid

XOD systems use mineral oil. Do not substitute DOT fluid. If a hose is cut, opened, or disconnected, the system may need bleeding and a full pressure and leak check.

Caliper alignment, rotor clearance, hose routing, lever feel, and motor cut-off operation must be verified before riding. Riders without hydraulic-brake experience should use a qualified mechanic.

Who should choose the XOD kit?

The H-Series suits a rider who knows the exact scooter model and is prepared to verify fitment and installation rather than treating brakes as a generic accessory.

This review is based on official specification and fitment information. We have not measured stopping distance, heat fade, lever feel, or long-term seal performance.

RIDER VERDICT

XOD H-Series verdict

XOD H-Series is a credible upgrade family when the exact H800/H880 configuration, sensor connector, rotor, hardware, and installation plan are confirmed. Fitment uncertainty is a stop sign, not an invitation to guess.
